About Worry
Psalm 9
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.
I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.
The minute we choose this,
My enemies turn back;
they stumble and perish before you.
they stumble and perish before you.
We can take heart that the Lord will,
Uphold my right and my cause,
sitting enthroned as the righteous judge.
Rebuke the nations and destroy the wicked;
you have blotted out their name for ever and ever.
Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies,
you have uprooted their cities;
even the memory of them has perished.
A lot of times we tend to loose hope and sink into despair. What does the Lord say He is?
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
you have blotted out their name for ever and ever.
Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies,
you have uprooted their cities;
even the memory of them has perished.
A lot of times we tend to loose hope and sink into despair. What does the Lord say He is?
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
He does not ignore you,
For he who avenges blood remembers;
he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.
Lord, see how my enemies persecute me!
Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death,
For he who avenges blood remembers;
he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.
Lord, see how my enemies persecute me!
Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death,
The trick is to call on His name in time of need. He will let you fall if He does not hear you are in need of Him. He's waiting for those words from your lips,
I declare your praises
in the gates of Daughter Zion,
and there rejoice in your salvation.
in the gates of Daughter Zion,
and there rejoice in your salvation.
We are in a war but the Lord is merciful.
Psalm 56
Be merciful to me, my God,for my enemies are in hot pursuit; all day long they press their attack. My adversaries pursue me all day long; in their pride many are attacking me. When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? All day long they twist my words; all their schemes are for my ruin. They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps, hoping to take my life. Because of their wickedness do not let them escape; in your anger, God, bring the nations down. Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll— are they not in your record?
Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me? I am under vows to you, my God; I will present my thank offerings to you. For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling,that I may walk before God in the light of life.
This should be our plea everyday. Asking for protection from all evil and praising His name for He is most holy and is the only one who can take you under His wing and shield you from Satan's snare. This is the Lords promise to us.
Hebrews 10:19-25
Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

I pray these verses bring you hope and peace and joy in the Lord. No matter how you sin or forget or rationalize, let this be your reminder that He is good. We are in a war and have to call on his name, call on the Spirit who lives inside of you. He will fight for you and with you.
Blessings!
