The Man In The Library

A man comes comes into the library and sits at the desk computer, sometimes for hours and sometimes for just a few minutes. Today he brought us pizza and called us his children. I know he his lost and looking for human connection. I pray that he comes out of the fog and finds true freedom. This poem is for him.

I wonder what is troubling him
I wonder what is wrong
He seems so sad and lonely
Like a long forgotten song
Like he has no place to belong

My heart goes out to him
For I hope he finds his peace
And is not strung from limb to limb
Nor disappears into the dim

Oh Lord protect his soul
Do not forsake him in his time of need
But be his ever watch guard
In this hallow desolate land.
