A Poem For June
When did time fly
On wings of purpley sunsets
and radiant sunrises
When did tea taste so good
Warm, calming sensation
Filling up my nose, ears, eyes
When did the future seem so hazy
But here and now so clear
Not speaking of the past which tends to sting
I am ready
With open arms
With eyes sparkling, feet preparing for take off
Show me Lord the path
Still my quavering heart
Remind me of the passion You have instilled in me
I am ready
I am waiting
I am holding on, to You
On wings of purpley sunsets
and radiant sunrises
When did tea taste so good
Warm, calming sensation
Filling up my nose, ears, eyes
When did the future seem so hazy
But here and now so clear
Not speaking of the past which tends to sting
I am ready
With open arms
With eyes sparkling, feet preparing for take off
Show me Lord the path
Still my quavering heart
Remind me of the passion You have instilled in me
I am ready
I am waiting
I am holding on, to You
